The Circularity Gap Report 2023: We Live in the Overshoot Era
The report cites that global circularity has dropped from 9.1% in 2018 to 7.2% in 2023. Reversing the overshoot will require different circular solutions across different parts of the world. There is no one-size fits all solution for the transition to the circular economy or it’d be easy! Four key circular actions we need to embed across global systems are: use less, use longer, use again, and make clean. Investment in commercial solutions is needed to solve and scale sustainability.
